The Studio Inc. is proud to partner with a local recording studio, Back Burner Studios, to give an opportunity to young musicians to learn the fundamentals of songwriting and recording in professional settings! This would entail two separate workshops of intensive, with around 5 - 8 participants to maximize the one-on-one coaching!

Creative Songwriting Workshop will focus on the songwriting and arranging a song to prepare it for live performances and recording. In this class, participants will journey through the process of writing music, explore melody, arrange and develop their own composition(s). On the final day of the songwriting camp, an opportunity for participants to showcase their creations to friends and family!

Dates: Saturdays from November 2 - November 30

Time: 12:00 - 3:00 p.m. (Saturdays only)*

Price: $279 + GST

Presentation of Finished song(s): November 30

Location: Mount Olivet Lutheran Church

Original Song Recording Workshop is an upcoming workshop that will focus on recording an original song in a professional recording studio, learn the process and etiquette of a recording studio and how to bring your musical composition to life and "tape" with an expert Producer. This will be hosted in the New Year 2025 to allow for shaping and fine tuning of original (or inspired) songs. Stay tuned for details and pricing.

Trunk or Treat - October 31, 2024

We are hosting one of our favourite events of the season again! Safe, fun and FREE for the whole family! All are welcome!

Show up in your favourite costume, get some hot chocolate, listen to some spooky music, check out some silly inflatables and take some treats from the trunks of some cars!*

Feel free to hang out with us for a bit after receiving your goodies and continue your trick or treat adventures in the neighbourhood!

The Studio is excited to host an incredible artist by the name of Krystle Dos Santos. Hailing from Vancouver, she is coming to town to share some of her experience in the performance world.

Many of us discuss how we can authentically show up on stage. Sometimes our nerves take over and we don't know how to...Sometimes we get to tell other people's stories, and other times we end up sharing our personal experiences through the music we share. No matter the style of songs in your life, this is the focus of our October 26 workshop with Krystle.

This 2 hour workshop will be in part an opportunity for musicians to share a song with Krystle and have positive feedback of on-stage presence and authenticity. The second part of this workshop will be an open discussion around this topic, with opportunity for questions. PLEASE seriously consider joining this incredible artist as she shares her decades worth of experience, and supports you in your future endeavours. *Please note that a performance by you is not mandatory. It is simply an opportunity for you to get direct feedback if you are searching for it.

About Krystle Dos Santos:

"2x award winning Soul, Jazz, country/rock singer-songwriter Krystle Dos Santos is doing it all! From touring across the country (family in tow) with her cabaret musical, Hey Viola!, co-created with Tracey Power, to recording with Country/Rock band project, Orchard Sky, while 9 months pregnant, Dos Santos isn’t letting anything break her stride.

The Studio Car Show & Market 2024

We are thrilled to announce The Studio Car Show & Market is back again on July 7th, 2024! One our favourite days of the summer!

Check out some spectacular local vendors, support local businesses, vote for your favourite vehicle and catch up with or make some new friends! We look forward to gathering as a community and giving away some prizes, along with enjoying live music, food and summer vibes.

Born to Entertain

This cabaret gives audiences a glimpse into the world of performing through the use of Broadway hits and an original script written in collaboration with the studio company. The audition process...the "feeling" we get on stage...the hours and hours...and hours of rehearsals we commit to for our performances. As you will see, it is always worth it because these humans were *Born to Entertain!*
